STMA Juniors Megan Larson, Ryan Copeland May Students of the Month

STMA Rotary Club is pleased to announce that STMA juniors Megan Larson and Ryan Copeland have been named STMA Rotary Students of the Month for May.

Megan is the daughter of Kelly and Lisa Larson of Albertville.  She has received an academic award and has lettered in music.  She is active in trap shooting, Gold Jazz Band and pit orchestra.  She is considering Bemidji State University.
Ryan is the son of Marni and Steve Copeland.  He has received numerous department awards, hockey team awards and lacrosse team awards, as well as STMA High School Student of the Trimester.  He is active in lacrosse, hockey, BPA and Freshmen Connections.  He plans to study broadcast journalism in college.

“Rotary proudly recognizes Megan and Ryan as students of the month,” said Kevin Lenz, STMA Rotary Club president.  “Their commitment to excellence in everything they do represents Rotary’s core values.  We wish them happy and successful futures.”
The STMA Rotary Club honors students of the month during each month of the school year.  The awards are given during the students’ junior year so they may include them on college applications and scholarship forms.  Rotary Students of the Month are selected by STMA’s home room teachers.  Rotary Students of the Month must demonstrate an interest in their community, have personal accomplishments or achievements, show respect to themselves and others, show a passion for “Service Above Self” and must be drug/alcohol free and cannot have committed a crime.
