STMA Juniors Lexi Wiessinger, Cammi Ailts, Ellie Hassinger December Students of the Month

STMA Rotary Club is pleased to announce that STMA juniors Lexi Wiessinger, Cammi Ailts and Ellie Hassinger have been named STMA Rotary Students of the Month for December.


Lexi Wiessinger
Lexi is the daughter of Scott and Laura Wiessinger of St. Michael. She has received numerous awards including academic letters, a basketball letter and Student of the Trimester. She is active in basketball and is on the Captain’s Council. She plans to attend college to become a physical therapist.


Cammi Ailts
Cammi is the daughter of Brett and Cindy Ailts of St. Michael. Her many awards include letters in music, academics and track for the past two years, a Courtesy and Respect Award, all-conference academic for track, and sprinter of the year last year. She is active in soccer, track and field, winter weight lifting, National Honor Society, band and choir, Gold Jazz Band, and Sirens Choir. She would like to major in computer engineering at the University of Minnesota.


Ellie Hassinger
Ellie is the daughter of Dan and Kristi Hassinger of St. Michael. For the past seven years she has been a finalist for the MMTA Piano Competition. She is active in soccer, piano and the Freshmen mentor program, and works at the Wellstead of Rogers and Country Inn & Suites of Albertville. She also has volunteered at the LakeRidge Care Center in Buffalo. She plans to study either pre-law or nursing and hopes to continue playing soccer.


“Rotary is proud to recognize Lexi, Cammi and Ellie as students of the month,” said Kevin Lenz, STMA Rotary Club president.  “Their commitment to excellence in everything they do represents Rotary’s core values.  We wish them happy and successful futures.”

The STMA Rotary Club honors students of the month during each month of the school year.  The awards are given during the students’ junior year so they may include them on college applications and scholarship forms.  Rotary Students of the Month are selected by STMA’s home room teachers.  Rotary Students of the Month must demonstrate an interest in their community, have personal accomplishments or achievements, show respect to themselves and others, show a passion for “Service Above Self” and must be drug/alcohol free and cannot have committed a crime.
